Its PSG, they can afford it. I never get it when teams will spend absurd sums of money on outfield players and then get cheap at GK. They spent 40m on Chevalier, and were going to spend 35m on Suzuki. They arent willing to spend 20-25m more to get a much better GK?

This could also be the case, but the point stands for overall strategy. They've spent (not including bonuses) 20m on Safonov, 40m on Chevalier, and were going to spend 35m on Suzuki. Personally, idk why youd spend 35m on Suzuki when Safonov is serviceable. Either go out and get a clear improvement or just stick with him.

I disagree—I think he lets in a lot of goals that better keepers would save He was a BIG downgrade on Donnarumma (and frankly he is only playing because PSG's big money replacement for Donnarumma in Chevalier was a complete disaster)
