大谷がDHで先発して、スネルあたりが先発投手だとするだろ。
6回に大谷がリリーフ登板したとする。投げている間は自分の打順で打ち続けられるけど、DHじゃなくて投手扱いになるんだ。
7回に打席に立って、そのあと別の投手、例えばスコットに交代したとする。これで大谷は完全に試合から退く。
次にその打順が巡ってきたとき、スコットが打席に立つか代打を出さなきゃいけない。チームはもうDHを使えないからね。

Ohtani starts the game as DH, Blake Snell or someone is starting pitcher.
In the 6th inning, Ohtani takes over as a relief pitcher, for whatever reason. He can pitch as long as he likes and he keeps his spot in the batting order, except now he’s a pitcher, not a DH.
In the 7th inning, he comes up to bat. After he bats, he’s relieved by another pitcher, say Tanner Scott. Ohtani is now out of the game completely.
When the batting order comes up again to that spot, Tanner Scott will have to bat. Or be replaced by a pinch hitter. The team doesn’t have a DH anymore.

確かにダブルスイッチという手もあるな。日本時代やエンゼルスでもたまにやってたと思うけど、ごく稀だったよ。

This is true - there’s always the double switch. I think Ohtani did that a bit in Japan and maybe on the Angels, but if he did it was pretty infrequent.

でもその場合、元々の右翼手は交代になる。大谷は野手として打順に残るからDHじゃない。だから大谷の後を受けたリリーフ投手は打席に立つ必要があるんだ。

But then the RF is out of the game. Ohtani is still in the BO but as the position player. Not as the DH. Thus the pitcher who comes in to relieve Ohtani has to bat.

大谷が最後まで投げないなら、後続の投手は9人の打者枠の誰かと交替しなきゃいけない。

The DH joining the field forfeits the DH spot so now you would have Ohtani the pitcher batting first in the order.
Assuming Ohtani doesn’t pitch the rest of the game, whoever comes in to pitch would have to replace one of the 9 hitters in the batting order because there is no longer the DH.
The new pitcher doesn’t necessarily have to bat first in Ohtani’s spot. You can use a double switch just like the NL frequently used before getting the DH.
The new pitcher could (hypothetically) take RF Alex Call’s 8 spot in the order, Ohtani could play RF and continue batting first, while Call is out of the game permanently because the pitcher is now batting 8th in the order in his spot.
Each subsequent pitcher would either have to replace the current pitcher in the batting order, or another double switch would have to be used.
When whatever spot in the order that the pitcher is in comes up on offense, that pitcher either has to hit or be pinched hit for.

Either let the pitchers hit or pinch hit for them.

例えば山本が先発で、4番DHでテオが出ているとする。8回に大谷がリリーフで入って4番で打つ。9回にディアスが登板して4番まで打順が回ったら、ディアスが打つか誰か代打を出すしかない。
だからこそ大谷は先発である必要があるんだ。先発DHは投手が代わってもそのまま残れるが、投手がDHの代わりに打席に立つとルールが変わってしまう。

Let’s say Yamamoto is pitching and they have Teo batting DH in the 4th position. Let say Ohtani comes in the 8th. And bats 4th. Like say Diaz comes in the 9th and bats around to the 4th position, Diaz would have to hit or they need someone to PH other than Ohtani.
Now this same scenario where Yamamoto starts and Ohtani DH in the 4th position. When he comes in, in the 8th inning he can bat until Diaz gets subbed into pitch the 9th. Then Diaz or a new PH would need to bat.
That’s why Ohtani needs to start. The starting DH does not need to come out when pitchers change. If a pitcher bats for the DH then when that pitcher comes out, the DH needs to switch.

投げたあとにどこかの守備位置に就く手もあるけどね。ただDHが無くなるから投手の打順は回ってくるし、他の野手が1人ベンチに下がる必要がある。
