今シーズン、メジャーの打撃に慣れてホームランを打ち始めるまで時間がかかったのに、それでもリーグ6位で終わったことを考えると、もうメジャーにアジャストしたと仮定すれば、来年リーグのホームランリーダーになってもおかしくないし、それに近い成績を残す可能性もあるよな。

Considering it took him a while to get comfortable this season with batting in the MLB and start hitting home runs, and he still finished 6th in the league, it’s not impossible to think he might be a league home run leader next year, or close to it, assuming he is now adjusted to the MLB.

正直言って、シーズンの最後の1ヶ月くらいで打席での忍耐力が増してきたから、三振を減らせるのは間違いないだろう。

tbh he started to have more patience at the plate during the last month or so of the season so there is no doubt he'll probably shave off some of the strikeouts in his game

I really like his chill vibe for press, I know it's very Japanese of him to not be so showy/emotional but just once I want to see him as excited as Springer gets for a home run. I think it'd be fun to see some more emotion from him.

ファンにとって究極の疑問は、ブーをビッグオークで基本的に置き換えたことだよね。彼らのスタッツを見て、今年どちらを選んだ方が良かったと思う？
もし私たちがプレーオフチームで、周りの選手全員が期待通りのプレーをしていたら、オークはプレーオフで大きな財産になっただろうけど、重要な打席で三振もあったかもしれない。
純粋に経済的な観点から見ると、サラリーコストだけでもオークの方がブーをはるかに上回っていると思うね。

I guess the ultimate question for fans is we essentially replaced Bo for Big Oak. Looking at their stats who would you have rather have over the year.
If we were a playoff team and everyone around him played to expectations Oak would have been a huge asset come playoff time but he also probably would have struck out at important ABs.
I think from a purely economic standpoint the salary cost alone pushes Oak way past Bo.
