Text from the post I turned 40 the other day. To everyone who sent me messages, thank you so much 🙇‍♂️ I've been quietly continuing my rehab from the right elbow surgery I had last year. Thanks to the Padres and team staff who support me even though I'm not traveling with the team, I've been able to get to the point where I can resume pitching from the mound. This is a video of my second bullpen session, and so far, things are going smoothly. ＊Sorry for the poor video quality.

息子さんのいい話があるんだ。俺の9歳の息子が今夏キャンプに参加した時、知り合いがいなくて緊張してたんだよ。そこにダルの下の子（10歳）もいて、息子に声をかけて輪に入れてくれたそうだ。一番上手い子に親切にしてもらえて最高の1週間になったってさ。最後の日に教えるまで誰の子供か知らなかったんだが、親の教えが良いんだな

Cool anecdote about his younger son. My 9 year old went to Cathedral Catholic baseball camp this summer and was really nervous because he didn’t know anyone. Yu’s younger son (10yo) was at the same camp and befriended my son and made him feel welcomed. Really made my kid’s week having the best kid in the cohort look after him. He had no idea whose kid that was until I told him after the last day of camp. It starts with the parents and Yu’s kid is A+.
