うん、野球ってそもそも不確定要素が多いから、常にベストなチームが勝つことを期待するなら、シングルエリミネーションは最高の形式とは言えないかもな。でも、だからこそ下剋上が多くてよりエキサイティングなんだと思うぜ

Yeah, baseball has a lot of inherent randomness so single-elimination is probably not the best format if you want to always see the best team come out on top. But I think that makes it even more exciting because there are more underdog upsets.

It would be cool to have the same concept. At Summer Koshien, there are 49 schools, representing the 47 prefectures (Tokyo and Hokkaido get split into two due to size). So you could have a tournament with the 50 state champions. But that would bring up a few questions, like how many reps California should get vs Wyoming (there's the same debate in Japan, for example Tottori prefecture tournament had 21 schools this year vs Aichi with 174 schools).
