日本のプロ野球では、各選手に専用の応援歌がある。これは球団ではなく私設応援団が作ったもので、打席に立つたびにトランペットや笛の音に合わせて歌われるんだ。このスタイルは子供からお年寄りまで受け継がれている伝統だね。

In Japanese professional baseball, each player has their own cheer song. It is not made by the team, but by a private cheering group, and is sung to the sound of trumpets and whistles every time a player is at bat. This style is a tradition that is passed down from children to the elderly.

大阪に住んでいた頃、近鉄バファローズが一番のひいきチームだった。天王寺区にある巨大な近鉄百貨店の近くに住んでいて、そこから近鉄電車に乗れば藤井寺球場まで直行してバファローズの試合を観られたんだよ。

When I lived in Osaka, the Kintetsu Buffaloes were my favorite team. I lived near the huge Kintetsu Department Store in Tennoji-ku, where I would catch a Kintetsu Railways train, which would take me directly to Fujiidera Stadium to watch the Buffaloes play.

However, I want to point out that this video primarily highlights the baseball culture in Tokyo (Tokyo Dome and its nearby izakayas). As mentioned in the interview, NPB has 12 teams spread across all corners of Japan. Each team has a special relationship with local residents, inviting local children to games, offering cheerleading lessons, and visiting schools to teach baseball during the off-season and even opening their stadiums for locals to enjoy the ballpark experience, even when no games are being played.. These are indispensable aspects of Japanese baseball culture.

Went to a game at Hanshin Koshien Stadium to watch the Giants vs Tigers. Game and atmosphere was electric!! Felt like and MLB playoff game, and that was just during the regular season. The music and chants were awesome! Highly recommend!
