この契約はすごく興味深いけど、最初は期待を抑えといた方がいいかもね。

Its a literal definition of the ball. The game is still baseball but the ball they use is like rubber or something like that. If you look at the picture of him throwing, the ball in his hand doesnt have any laces because its just a solid mold of rubber. I only know this because when I went to Japan I saw one of those balls in a sports shop and thought it was a training ball until my Japanese friend told me that its a specific college league.
Like this signing is fascinating, but Id temper expectations at first.
