冗談半分かもしれないけど、NPBは資金格差がずっと極端だし、実際その通りだよw プレーオフも上位チームに1勝のアドバンテージがつく変則システムだから、高勝率を維持すること自体が巨大な優位になる。しかも運営元はかなりあくどい企業だし、グラウンド外で問題を起こした連中まで平気で契約するからな。

This may be in jest but things are way more stratified financially in the NPB and they are in fact, yes lol. The playoff series also work differently with the ghost game for the higher record when it's in their league, so consistently having a higher record is a huge advantage. And they're also run by a terribly evil corporation on top of all the people with bad off-field stuff they sign up.

アストロズとは全然比べものにならないと思うぞ。ホークスはこの黄金期で別に不正を働いたわけじゃないはずだ。それにアストロズは他球団より桁外れの給与を払っているわけでもなく、スカウティングと育成が抜群に上手いと評価されてる。ホークスはあらゆるリソースを注ぎ込める上に、野球規約違反どころか本物の法に触れるような問題行動を起こした奴らまで引き入れてるからな。

I don't think the Astros are mildly comparable. The Hawks have never technically cheated during this run I don't think, and the Astros do not pay well over all the other teams and are by all other accounts just really great at scouting and developing. Hawks have every resource ever and, again, bring in people that have done genuinely illegal things, not just baseball bad things.

Ironically the Daiei Hawks (before they became Softbank owned) did have a sign stealing scandal in the late nineties I believe. If I remember correctly they used plants in the stands it was pretty elaborate. You're right in saying this iteration is clean though.

I was actually there tonight and there was a lot of BayStars support scattered throughout the stadium. When the team came out to bow towards the 応援団 it was bittersweet. Reynolds stood out to me, not just because of his height, but he lingered the longest and just seemed to be standing there and soaking it all in.
