That was one of my favorite things about him. Team first guy, never complained and did what they need him to do.

Pretty sure there are statements made on his behalf by his agent that said he didn't like it. But like, that's fine. He didn't have to like it. He definitely never let it affect his play and it certainly never seemed to cause any real friction. But it's not as if the media made up his dissatisfaction with the DH matter

Huh? He's played 132+ games every season from '23-'26. His rookie year he only played 111 games due to a broken finger, but he's not exactly injury prone. That could change as he ages, but to say he's missed quite a lot of time might be overstated.

132 games is a mighty strange bar to set in a sport that plays 162. Suzuki logged 675 of a possible 810 games as a Cub, which comes out to a month’s worth of games per season missed on average. For comparison, his corner OF counterpart on the Cubs Ian Happ played in 775 games during the same five year span.
The only time Suzuki managed to crack 150 games was a season in which he was primarily a DH.
