2024年のベイスターズ優勝ほどの波乱にはならないだろうけど、今年のアドバンテージ1勝分はマジでキツいな。

確かにあの快進撃は今でも現実味がないよな。でもあのデススター相手に4戦中3勝なんてできる気がしない。実現したらヤバいけどさ。
True that run still feels surreal, but I just can't see how either team wins 3 of 4 against the Death Star but it would be insane to see.

この掲示板を軽く見ただけだけど、10ゲーム差以上つけてリーグ優勝すると2勝分のアドバンテージがもらえるって前の投稿に書いてあった気がする（今季から始まったかは覚えてないが）。相変わらずすごいルールだけど、MLBよりチーム数が少ないNPBならこのアドバンテージ制度もうまく機能してるんじゃないかな。プレーオフの質も高くなりそうだし。
Granted I've just been perusing this subreddit, but I think one of the earlier posts mentioned something about the first place team getting a 2-0 advantage if they win their league by at least 10 games (don't remember if that started this season, though). Still crazy to see, but I guess the bye+ works for NPB, especially with relatively few teams compared to MLB where the playoff quality can hopefully be stronger, I imagine.
リーグ優勝チームには1勝分のアドバンテージが与えられる。相手チームの勝率が5割未満か、首位と10ゲーム差以上離れている場合のいずれかを満たせば、さらにもう1勝分が追加される仕組みだ。
The league winner gets 1 advantage. They will get another advantage if the other team got either less than 50% winning rate OR have more than 10 winning difference from the 1st place (applies if either is true).
第1戦で有原を先発させるのはハイリスクハイリターンな賭けだな。正直感心したよ。ソフトバンク戦に備えて、このシリーズでの敗退リスクを高めてでも勝負に出るというチームの覚悟が見える。
有原はシーズン中盤の短い期間以外パッとしなかったし、最近のベルーナでの勝利も運が良かっただけだ。西武はランナーを出しながら一本が出なかったからな。
まあでも、こういう大事な場面のために高額年俸を払って有原を獲得したんだろ。それにソフトバンク戦の頭で伊藤・達・北山のうち2人を投入できる可能性を残せるし、ほんの僅かな希望が持てる。
平良が長いイニングを投げて失点もほとんど出さないと予想される以上、新庄監督は守備に難のある内野手（サード郡司やセカンドカストロ）を先発させて運を天に任せるような真似は絶対に避けるべきだ。
Starting Arihara in G1 is such a high risk, high reward move. I'm honestly impressed. It's a signal that the team is prepared to have a greater risk of losing this series in order to give themselves a better chance if they face SoftBank.
Arihara hasn't looked good outside of a brief stretch mid-season and even his most recent win @Belluna involved some luck. Seibu was getting men on base but just couldn't get a clutch hit that game.
On the other hand, this situation is why you decided to pay Arihara in the first place. Plus you can potentially have two of Itoh/Tatsu/Kitayama available at the start of a series with SoftBank and give yourself a tiny glimmer of hope.
With Taira likely to go deep and surrender few (if any) runs, it's critical that Shinjo doesn't tempt fate by starting infielders with known defensive issues (e.g. Gunji at 3rd or Castro at 2nd).
