Suzuki’s hit was more due to the LF being afraid of the bricks, but Miller did hang that slider and at least Suzuki did something positive with it.

Did not like Swanson's baserunning that entire inning. A good baserunner (like a prime Kris Bryant) would've already been rounding third once Bregman's soft liner landed on the ground. Why play it safe on Bregman's hit but then take a gamble on Busch's shallow fly?

I think Japan's strengths are its defense and quick transitions. So letting Brazil have most of the possession may have been part of the plan to counter quickly, but as you said, our attack didn't really work against mighty Brazil. I think that's also because we were without our key attackers. I would have loved to see this match with Mitoma, Kubo, and Minamino playing.
