honestly i think the velo coming back to 90mph on his splitter is what brought him back. it felt really off seeing it down to 83mph with way less spin and more drop , it didnt tunnel very well with a high carry fastball.

He has great stuffs, eye tests don’t lie

Even if this was a once-in-a-million performance or it gets talked dowm because it was against the Angels, he has improved on the course of this season.
On his first few games he would feed multiple runs and/or would have to be pulled out or bailed out in the middle of an inning (usually 4th or 5th) because the struggles were getting to him. Now, he is performing well enough to be trusted with his own pinch situations and has extended his turns in the mound to the standard 6-7 complete innings.
There is still potential in him to get better and what is important is to keep supporting him as he gains more skill and confidence.

I thought you meant when he was a Dodger, yeah, of course, before he first came to the MLB there are plenty of doubters, one of the major reason he went to the Angels is because Angels was one of the few teams who was willing to let him play both ways. I think the Yankees only wanted Ohtani as a pitcher.

yea honestly ur right. The cool little stats and strike outs is cool or whatever but the coolest part is honestly how much more complete of a pitcher he seems to be. He was kind of a wreck last year at times and it wasnt necessarily the biggest deal in the world but he came ridiculously far in 12 months.
