Don’t get me wrong he’s been our best player by far this season but to call a veteran overseas player a Rookie is ridiculous, there is a huge difference between an actual rookie and an overseas “rookie”, Japanese baseball is the closest thing to MLB caliber baseball outside of North America.

Eh AAA and NPB is closer than you think. There's plenty of AAA level talents who can't make it to MLB who go on to have outstanding seasons in NPB, and plenty of Japanese stars who go to MLB and have very avg careers.
We don't police AAA guys who take a long journey to the show and discount their rookie status, I'm not gonna start with NPB just because Japanese rookies breaking records.

Well let’s add some context here. He played pro in Japan for 11 years. He’s also at least 5 years older than Hinske was as a rookie. I love Kaz and not trying to take anything away from his great season, but this guy is a rookie on paper only. Reminds me of Sergei Makharov in Calgary when he was one of the best players in Russia for 10 years before that.
