Truthfully the sliders Diaz was throwing to the last few batters were better than most I’ve seen this season. Would like to see him in not the closer role as he cotninues to hone in his put-away pitch.

Well he’s a 2 pitch pitcher and they keep talking about how he doesn’t have any feel for his slider, if he doesn’t have a slider, he has to throw 4-Seamers in the zone to get a strike. He didn’t let the runner score from 3rd with no out, that’s a step in the right direction.

I get the rationale behind it, but Doc putting him in there again almost gave me an aneurysm. One of 3 things needs to happen: (1) Dude needs to find his slider fast, (2) Doc needs to stop putting him in high leverage situations until he’s found it or (3) they gotta reinvestigate him for cockfighting and get us the fuck off his contract

I'd like to see him brought out when we've got a multiple run cushion or have him brought out as the setup man and let Tanner take the closer role until Diaz has his stuff and his command back. Continuing to bring him out only to give up one run games while we're struggling to get wins is gonna be bad for his confidence and for the team. It makes no sense.
