This one bothers me for sure - a UCL problem for the catcher is deadly and the wait may not solve it. This is on top of a neck disc problem for Will - both may wait only to need surgery to repair the structural problems. Fingers crossed for the rest and rehab healing gods to work for both!

One year it’s the last place Reds, another year it’s the Angels, or a version of the Pirates without Skenes, et al. 162 games. It’s nothing to worry about. Baseball is hard.

Last year, we were all dooming the hell out of it mid season. Team still found a way to clinch the WS. I won't be too worried about it right now. The real goal is the playoffs. Our team is built for the bright lights of October.😌

I think playing in the wild card is better for them, they haven’t been great when getting the bye, they got swept or only won 1 game in their first 2 bye years and barely won against the Padres in ‘24. When they steamrolled the Reds last year, they kept it going against the Phillies and Brewers.

Yeah I don’t buy that. Small sample size. There’s no way the odds of winning the World Series get better by having an extra opportunity to lose. And we did bat .199 and got beaten by the Phillies in every statistical category so not sure we really “kept it going” more than against the Pads. Guess that Reds series was a learning experience because at least we knew not to use the bullpen anymore lol

The past two years, we can point to very clear points in the season that marked the absolute bottoms for each team. 2024 was the Glasnow injury. 2025 was the Oriole's game. Teams need to face adversity to help them grow. Right now, we're hitting a rough patch with both catchers being out, the bullpen getting beat up, and the offense struggling. Let's hope we can look back at this mark the nadier for this season that helped propel the team to October success.

I know it’s a long season and the dog days of summer are a grind. I know what really matters is everyone is healthy for the postseason. I know when October comes around we’ll flip the switch and be ready to go. And that stretch was absolutely brutal, they SUCKED. Hilariously, they’re playing the exact same way as that stretch last year. It’s just something I guess we need to get used to at this point, but as fans IMO it’s perfectly fine to be frustrated in a vacuum about these results.
