いい指摘だね。大谷のキャリア自体が、二刀流がいかに難しいかの証拠だと思う。キャリア9年目でまだ111先発しかしてない。それをネガティブに捉える人もいるかもしれないけど、これは二刀流がいかに不可能に近いかを示してるんだ。彼みたいな選手が他にいないのには理由がある。見てて本当にすごいよ。
Good point and I think even Ohtani’s career is evidence of how difficult it is to do both- he’s made just 111 starts in the 9th year of his career. Some would take that as a negative but it really shows how close this is to being impossible to do. There’s a reason we haven’t seen any other player like this. Incredible to watch.

100先発ちょっとしかないけど、2018〜2020年はトミージョン手術でシーズン通して投げてないし、2024年も2度目の手術でまた投げなかった。2025年も回復期間の一環でレギュラーシーズンで47イニングしか投げてないのを考えれば妥当だよ。それでもNLCSの第4戦とワールドシリーズの第3戦では歴史を作ったんだ。たまに過小評価されたり嫌われたりするけど、真の野球ファンなら彼が野球界のためにやってることが簡単じゃないって知ってる。彼が簡単そうに見せているかもしれないけど、選手たちに聞けば「難しい」って言うだろうね。しかも翔平はただプレーしてるだけじゃなくて、両方でエリートレベルだ。スランプの時もあるかもしれないけど、誰だってあるだろ？人間なら普通のことだよ。他の誰とも同じように、疲労やストレス、メディアの厳しい目にも対処してる。それでも彼は、本当に情熱を注いでいる野球に全力を尽くしてるんだ。

only 100+ starts but it’s reasonable given he’s not pitching the whole season from 2018-2020 because of TJ surgery plus he wasn’t pitching whole 2024 season because again of 2nd surgery and 2025 he only pitch 47 innings in regular season as part of the recovery period but still he made history in NLCS game 4,And World Series Game 3.
Sometimes he is underappreciated and hated, but true baseball fans know what he does for the game is not easy,he may makes it seem easy but if you ask the players who plays the game, they will say it’s hard.
And Shohie didn’t only just play,he’s at elite level at both.
He might have some slumping moments but who doesn’t?, that’s just normal for any human,just like everybody else he deals with fatigues,stress plus media scrutiny.Still he’s trying his best giving his all to baseball which he is really passionate about.

think he can if he wants to do 40 HR,40 SB again, even 50/50 but the thing is he have to focus on pitching and hitting and conserve his energy for both especially Pitching.
He actually Stolen bases a few but he’s prohibited by the Manager.and coaching staff because they want to prevent him having possible injuries😅.
But yeah he’s stubborn sometimes he still steal bases and Dave Roberts can only shake his head, I think it sometimes a reflex especially if he sees a good chance to steal.

Shohei had set the standard so high people take it for granted, I played all sports like everyone has, and baseball is the toughest sports to excel, and he’s doing it pitching and hitting. When Babe Ruth was a two way player in 1918-1919 he played just 95 and 130 games as a hitter, and as a starter he pitched just 19 and 15 game. What Ohtani have accomplished dominating pitching and hitting is the greatest achievement in sports.
