ピート・アロンソのひどいトスでハムストリングを痛めるまではかなり調子が良かったんだよな。いつだったか覚えてないけど、それがILから復帰した後の「良い千賀」から「悪い千賀」への転換点だったと思う。やっぱりブルペンに回るのが今後の答えなのかもな。

He was playing pretty good until he pulled that hamstring from a terrible Pete Alonso toss. Not sure when that was, but I believe that was the turning point of Good Senga to Bad Senga after returning from the IL stint. Maybe the bullpen moving forward is the answer after all

He also started out pretty good this year and he got hurt again. Looks like it takes him a really long time to get his mechanics back if he loses time. But who knows, lockdown reliever might actually be his calling. I mean, how can it not with his fastball and ghost fork.

There was a spell where it looked like Imanaga was dealing with his hamstring again during the season. He seems to be a lot better and you can see it more in the results. I'd wager Senga just hasn't been able to readjust his mechanics to not inhibit his his hammy. It sucks enough as an average joe when your hammies get out of whack.

Pretty good was him being arguably a top 5 pitcher in baseball for almost the first half of the season (sub-2 ERA but his FIP was a solid but not spectacular 3.24 and 65 ks). I was at that game, the vibes were so high still from 2024 and the beginning of 25. People were in the stands celebrating the Grimace anniversary, it was a beautiful day, and it was great, and the second Kodai got hurt you could feel the aura shift. They also came really close to blowing a huge lead in the 9th that day and barely held on, and we could just kinda tell something was wrong with the team, and then everything fell apart after that.

Honestly most of us do. He needs to cut down on walks, but limiting himself to fastballs and his splitter will make that a lot easier.

It also allows him to ramp it up and throw some heat. Mix in his ghost fork and an occasional breaking ball and he can do it.

まあ、そのうち4点は審判がストライク3を見逃したことと、投手からのチャレンジを見逃したことから直接生まれたんだけどね。とはいえ、攻撃ではもっと良くする機会は確かにあったけど、そうだな、審判が相手チームに4点もプレゼントしたら、彼らが試合を台無しにしたって感じてしまうのは仕方ないよな。

I mean, 4 of those runs came directly from the ump missing a strike 3, and also missing the pitcher challenge it. That being said, they certainly had opportunities to do better on offense but yeah, when the umps gift wrap the other team 4 runs, it’s hard not to feel like they cost them the game
