Japan and Korea already proved Asians can play football. I would like to see other Asian countries step up. I don't recall a non Japanese or Korean player in the English Premier League since Sun Jihai.

My family in the Philippines says that soccer there is a relatively popular sport but pales in comparison to basketball, boxing, volleyball, and tennis. If anything, my family is a lot more excited for the Miss Universe pageant. I know next to nothing about any of those subjects other than boxing, so I just listen in.

Big difference between playing “to win” and playing “not to lose”. The momentum definitely shifted in favor of Brazil with their opportunities. One can only imagine how mentally gutted it feels as a player and more importantly as a team to put yourself out there and take a closing minutes goal and loss like that.
