Fellow asian gunner here and I was sneakily hoping that he would resign as cover for the backline seeing that Saliba looks to be out for a while. Honestly, dubious medical staff aside, I always felt that his body could not handle a prolonged period of the pace and intensity required to play FB in the EPL. If we had kept him mainly asthe 3rd choice CB that can be used as a pinch LB/RB for certain matchups I think he could've lasted much longer. But really happy he signed for palace! Will definite…

I wonder if he didn't want to come back. Assuming there isn't some medical issue that we think is a problem but Palace don't (which is entirely possible). Otherwise he would surely be a no brainer, can cover right back, centre back, and left back at a really high level.

来季のローテーション枠として手元に残して、プレミアでプレイ機会を与えるべきだったと今でも思ってるよ。他のDFを連れてきても戦術に適応する時間が必要だし、サリバの離脱期間にすぐ使えないなら金の無駄になっちゃうからね。

I still maintain having him as a rotation option for the next year, giving him visibility in the PL would have been a very good decision by us. I think any other defender will need to learn how we play, which will likely mean they aren't used much while Saliba is out, and this become a bit of a waste of money.

完全に同意。納得のいく右CB/右SBを新たに補強できればいいけど、それまではちょっとガッカリかな。プレイ時間を減らして温存すれば健康を保てるとは思わなかったのかな。まぁ怪我歴のある選手が4人もいるからこれ以上増やしたくなかったのか、冨安自身がスタメン出場を望んだのかもしれないね。クリスタル・パレスで健康でいられることを祈ってるよ。

Totally agree. Maybe we'll sign another RCB/RB that satisfies me, but until then I'm gonna be a little disappointed that we apparently didn't think Tomi could stay healthy playing fewer minutes with [Saliba later]/Mosquera/Timber/White/[Salmon] all around to keep from wearing him out. (Also possible that with 4 guys up there with injury issues/histories we didn't want another, or that Tomi wanted to be a starter. Hope he stays fit for CP)
